EMERGENCY MEETING ON THE CASE OF THE CUBAN FIVE POLITICAL PRISONERS AND U.S./CUBA RELATIONS
The Case of the Five Cubans held unjustly in U.S. federal prisons has reached a critical stage. On March 10th in Miami, lawyers for the Five will present oral arguments for the appeal before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. This is an urgent moment for the innocent five compañeros.
Your help is decisive!
Meanwhile, the Bush Administration continues to escalate aggression towards the island. Ominous reports emanating from the White House spell dangerous times for Cuba. In October, President George Bush announced the formation of a Presidential Commission for Assistance for a Free Cuba. Assistant Secretary of State Roger Noriega, menacingly warned Cuba in January that it must “ destabilizing democratic Latin American nations” This is a total fabrication as well as a veiled threat to the emerging Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela.
Lawyers for the Five have stressed that this is a decisive moment. Come hear details on the case and find out how you can help.
