Join protests Fri 7/22, Mon 7/25 & Tues 7/26 to free hunger-striking Bilal Kayed and all Palestinian political prisoners!

Please attend these upcoming protests, in NYC and during the mobilization to SHUT DOWN the DNC!  in Philadelphia, to support Bilal and 7,000 other Palestinian political prisoners.

Palestinian political prisoner Bilal Kayed had been scheduled for years to be released on June 13, the end of a 14 1/2-year sentence by an Israeli military court in the occupied West Bank.

Instead, on the morning his family and friends planned to welcome him home, he was given an “administrative detention” order, a decree by an Israeli military commander sentencing him to six more months’ imprisonment, without charge or trial and subject to indefinite renewal.

Now one of 715 Palestinian “administrative detainees” in Israeli prisons, Bilal launched a hunger strike June 14 to demand his freedom. On Sunday, he was moved from solitary confinement to an Israeli hospital. Dozens of Palestinian prisoners have joined his strike in solidarity.
