| To commemorate Women’s Equality Day, Aug. 26, the day that millions of U.S. women won the right to vote, the International Working Women’s Coalition will be hosting a Global Film Festival:
Celebrating International Women Warriors dedicated to women warriors around the world including the U.S. who have given their energy and lives in resistance to all forms of oppression to help liberate women and their communities/countries. This will be one of what we hope to be a number of film festivals over several months leading up to the International Women’s Day 2018 focused on various areas of struggle that make up our 10-point Can We Live program. Discussion will be held after each short film which will be 30 minutes or less. Besides the films and discussion, snacks, dinner and a social will be provided. We hope you can make a donation for this event but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you can bring a snack, dish or liquid refreshment |
