Take Action this week in Solidarity with Puerto Rico!Looking for a way to show solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico? Last week, the organizers of the International Tribunal on US Colonial Crimes in Puerto Rico  launched the call for a week of actions one year after the catastrophe of Hurricane Maria.In Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit, Durham, Hartford, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, Rochester and Washington DC important actions in solidarity with Puerto Rico will be taking place.Find an Action Near You and Sign Up for the Week of ActionsFrom September 20 – 27, organizers across the U.S. will show their solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico in communities across the USA:

  • On September 20th, activists from various movements will take to the streets the anniversary of Hurricane Maria, to demand reparations and decolonization for Puerto Rico
  • On September 21, we will be calling and tweeting Puerto Rican Education Secretary, gringa Julia Keleher from Philadelphia, demanding full funding and reopening of Puerto Rican schools
  • All week, people are organizing petition drives and educational events to demand solidarity, decolonization and reparations for Puerto Rico.

  • On Grito de Lares, the 150th anniversary of Puerto Rico’s uprising for independence from Spain, we will support and march with our Boricua comrades.
