Dear Laundry Workers Center Supporter–

You are invited to the Laundry Workers Center annual gala Sin Fronteras: Celebrating Victories of Women Laundry Workers! We are honoring these immigrant women workers and leaders and bringing their invisible labor into the light. This is a fundraiser, and it also promises to be a musical, tasty, and inspiring evening.

The history of lavanderas (laundry workers) is a chronicle of immigrant, women-of-color organizing and triumph; we at Laundry Workers Center understand that our work builds on the legacy of women worker organizing, espeically the labor of Black women workers.

We will have food, live music by Ernesto of Villalobos Brothers Band, and more! Tickets and donations can be made at bit.ly/lwcgala2019. Please check out additional details below, and we hope to see you there!

Me acerco para invitarlos a Sin Fronteras: Celebrando las victorias de las trabajadoras de la lavandería, una gala anual organizada por el Centro de Trabajadores de la lavandería aquí en la ciudad de Nueva York.

Estamos reconociendo a las trabajadoras inmigrantes y líderes para sacar a la luz su trabajo invisible. Esta es una recaudación de fondos, y también promete ser una velada musical, sabrosa, e inspiradora.

La historia de las lavanderas (trabajadores de lavandería) es una crónica de triunfo y organización de inmigrantes, mujeres de color; nosotros en el Centro de Trabajadores de Lavandería entendemos que nuestro trabajo se basa en el legado de la organización de las trabajadoras, especialmente en el trabajo de las trabajadoras negras.
