Script for call-in:
“I would like to speak with Michael Willner.
My name is ___________ and I am calling because I am one of many people who are concerned with your leasing of 33,000 square feet of office space to Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE).
ICE is a threat to our community. ICE violates the human rights of people, causes the death of countless migrants, separates children from their families, and forces people into concentration camps. ICE in Philadelphia has a reputation for being particularly aggressive in attacking migrants. According to a Philly Inquirer/ProPublica report in 2018, the Philadelphia ICE field office arrests more immigrants without criminal convictions than any other ICE region. It is time to make Philly a real sanctuary city and to EVICT ICE.
I know that you work with numerous organizations that support the children of Philadelphia. You have the chance to do something important here. Please consider doing the following to make a safer place for the children of Philadelphia:
-Cancel your lease with ICE!
-Donate the profits from your ICE lease to organizations that support migrant & refugee organizing and well-being
I will follow up with you on this. Thanks! ”
Let us know how the call went!
In solidarity,
