The U.S. military launched attacks on Iran over Memorial Day weekend that once again can turn West Asia into a massive battlefield that disrupts the world’s economy and threatens world war. The Pentagon already lost the initial round of the aggression the U.S. and Israel started on Feb. 28.

That first round exposed the viciousness of the imperialist ruling class and its pit bull cronies in Tel Aviv and revealed the weaknesses of the U.S. Armed Forces in West Asia. Yet they’re doing it again. And the war has already cost the U.S. at least $50 billion, according to CBS News on April 30.
Iranian negotiators were traveling to Doha, Qatar, to take part in talks to turn the April 8 ceasefire into a more permanent agreement. According to Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins, speaking for the U.S. Central Command, the U.S. military hit what he called missile sites in southern Iran. He claimed the object of the strikes was to protect U.S. troops.
The International Action Center has two quick reactions to this military aggression that we would like to share with all people who want to end the war: One, the U.S. and Israel are the aggressors and, two, the Islamic Republic of Iran has the right to take whatever steps it considers necessary to protect its government and its people.
The Pentagon spokespeople, the MAGA regime in Washington and the media that always defend imperialist interests can’t be trusted to say one word of truth.
If the U.S. Central Command really wanted to protect U.S. troops from harm, it would remove them from West Asia, along with the warships, planes, drones and missiles that have murdered so many people in the region.
The International Action Center condemns the reactionary MAGA cabal and the Democrats who have funded this war. We condemn the multibillionaire and ever richer U.S. ruling class, which profits from this war directly and indirectly. We accuse the MAGA regime of turning rank-and-file U.S. troops into war criminals by making them complicit in the criminal orders from the top.
U.S. imperialism’s pit bull junior partner Tel Aviv — which has exposed itself as a vicious torturer of Palestinians and of the supporters of the Palestinian people the Israeli military seized from the Global Sumud Flotilla — has killed more Lebanese people to prevent any peace agreement from taking place.
The Israel Occupation Forces’ refusal from the beginning to adhere to the ceasefire in Lebanon, murdering thousands of Lebanese people, is a direct challenge to anyone trying to achieve an end to the warfare in the region.
These two rogue states — U.S. imperialism and Zionist Israel — are the main enemies of humanity. The regimes running those terrorist states have only one strategy: wanton violence and unbridled genocide. They have nothing to offer the world but destruction. And their spokespeople admit and even boast of their ruthless lack of humanity.
Understanding these points is the basis for resisting their rule. That and understanding that the cruelty and arrogance of U.S. imperialism grows as Washington loses positions of power. U.S. aggression in West Asia has already accelerated its downslide.
The U.S. and Israel can destroy and kill, they can double their bet on the next round, but their decline is inevitable.
It is a responsibility for antiwar and anti-imperialist forces in the United States, in whatever way we can, to organize a movement that can prevent the U.S. rulers and their military from killing our class siblings and comrades from around the world. We must try to prevent them from using our working-class siblings in the U.S. from doing their dirty work as their imperialist system collapses.
